Romestead Brick Oven: unlock, fuel and clay inputs

At a glance

Offer Granite Tooth for Virgil’s Poem to unlock the Brick Oven. Feed Clay and Lumber or Coal into the center; Brick leaves the left output and empty Buckets leave the right.

Unlock the Brick Oven with Granite Tooth

Complete Virgil’s Poem by offering Granite Tooth at the altar. Brick Oven is listed among that task’s rewards and in the version 0.26.2_3 tier-2 progression chain.

Build the oven with 8 Stone and 6 Clay.

Fuel, clay and the two outputs

The listed recipe is 1 Clay → Brick. Feed Lumber or Coal and Clay into the oven’s central input window.

Opening What to expect
Center Fuel and clay input
Left Brick output
Right Empty Bucket output

An empty Bucket coming out of the right side is not itself a failed batch. Check the left output for bricks.

Connect the clay supply

With a Logistics Tent, the described supply chain takes Clay from Material Storage and returns Brick to storage. Fuel automation is a separate question; keep checking the fire rather than treating the clay connection as an unattended full production line.

If nothing happens, check the unlock, completed building, fuel, clay and output space in that order. Version 0.26.1 fixed the oven sometimes throwing out logs; older footage of that fault should not be read as the intended fueling rule.

See Granite Tooth for the quest and building upgrades for where the bricks are useful.
