Romestead Granite Tooth: Cyclops route and altar offering

At a glance

Find the Cyclops quest source in the Desert, take Granite Tooth from the reward chest, then offer it at your town altar for Minerva’s Virgil’s Poem. Dungeon layouts depend on world age.

Find the Cyclops quest source in the Desert

Granite Tooth is the offering for Minerva’s Virgil’s Poem. The recorded route leads to the High Temple of the Satyrs in the Desert and its Cyclops encounter.

An older route uses a campfire beside the club-holding Cyclops statue to point toward the temple. The creator found it southeast in two worlds; that direction is a sample, not a fixed location for every seed.

The recorded temple route

  1. Explore the two side routes and collect their keys.
  2. Carry the keys as physical objects and throw them toward the gate.
  3. Use explosive pots where the route requires clearing obstacles.
  4. Complete the Cyclops encounter and take the quest item from the reward chest.

Treat the two-key layout as a route reference, particularly if your world was created before the autumn dungeon update. Version 0.26.1 added and reworked dungeons; older worlds remain playable but do not gain the new dungeons automatically.

Offer the tooth and claim the reward

Return to your town’s altar and offer the Granite Tooth for Virgil’s Poem. Check the quest’s completed objective and claim its reward rather than waiting inside the temple for the next stage to trigger.

The listed unlocks include Brick Oven, Carpenter’s Workshop Level 2 and Altar Level 3. The version 0.26.2_3 progression guide also places this offering at world tier 2.

Version 0.25.1_3 made quest dungeons stay marked on the map until their quest item is taken out of the chest. If you appear to be missing the tooth, check your map and the reward chest before repeating the entire trip.
