Romestead Copper Bar: how to smelt Copper Ore

At a glance

Throw Copper Ore into a burning Blacksmith furnace to make Copper Bars. A Plains or Forest Quarry can also produce them with a Miner at job level 2.

Use the Blacksmith’s physical furnace

To make a Copper Bar, throw Copper Ore into a burning Blacksmith furnace. The listed conversion is 1 Copper Ore → 1 Copper Bar.

  1. Bring Copper Ore to the Blacksmith.
  2. Add fuel and make sure the furnace is burning.
  3. Feed the ore into the furnace.
  4. Collect the resulting Copper Bar.

If you cannot find a smelting button in the crafting list, check the furnace itself. If nothing comes out, check the fire and the input opening before assuming you need another recipe unlock.

Automate Copper Bars with a Quarry

A Quarry in the Plains or Forest can produce Copper Bars. It needs a Miner at job level 2. The Quarry unlock task is The Copper Consistency.

The worker’s profession level and the building’s level are separate. A higher building rank raises the potential job rank; it does not make an inexperienced worker level 2 immediately.
